How to use a bra size calculator – First step: your band size

The band size is determined by measuring the perimeter of your chest in 2 places (above the bust and below the bust). It has to be assessed as close as possible because it can affect how your bra holds up. The best method is to use a flexible tape measure wrapped closely over your chest. It is recommended to do it while wearing a bra and measure below it. Once you’ve gotten the  numbers, simply enter it into the “upper bust” and “lower bust” fields of the calculator.

Note:  at this stage, some calculators will require you to calculate your band size, but others will require you to wait for all the fields to be filled out before calculating sizes.

How to use a bra size calculator – Step two: your cup size

The cup size can be really much easily determined than what you think. What you need to do is to measure the circumference over the highest point of your chest over your breasts. Subsequently all you need to do is simply enter the number into the “cup size” field. Then click on the processing button, which is usually “calculate”, “go”, “get your bra size now” or “enter”. The bra size calculator will give you your size in “bra” language.

Note: bra sizes are measured in different ways depending on the country you’re in. So make sure the calculator you are using is calibrated according to your country of residence or that it uses the same standards.

Obviously, no matter how accurate your measuring can be, you can’t just simply pick up any bra that matches the calculated size. As you will understand, true band and cup sizes can vary quite largely factoring the brands and even the models you seek after. At the end of the day you need a bra that really fits you comfortably.
